Registered Agent Change › Change to yourself
Can I change from a service to being my own registered agent?
Often yes, using the same statement of change, but the rule is state-specific. Our research confirms an individual owner can serve in 7 states and that the LLC itself cannot in 20; for the other 23 it does not settle the question, so check with the Secretary of State. If you want your address off the record, Mainstay Filing is $149 a year.
